The Wood County Human Services Department provides comprehensive assistance and support services for the community of Marshfield, WI, and the surrounding areas. With a focus on enhancing the well-being of individuals and families, the department offers various programs related to child welfare, mental health, and substance abuse.

The Children & Families division addresses child abuse and neglect, youth justice services for delinquency, truancy, and court-related matters, and provides foster care support. Additional services include managing mental health cases for children, supporting children with disabilities, and overseeing child care certification.

In the Mental Health and Substance Abuse sectors, the department offers crisis services, substance abuse treatment, and ongoing mental health care through case management. For severe cases, mental health care is available at Norwood Health Center, offering in-patient hospital services.
